The Client

ASA (part of USG People) is a recruitment agency targeting young professionals and students in Europe. They focus both on full-time and on temporary/part-time employment, customer care, and other human resources-related services.

The Backstory

Over decades, ASA has proved to be a reliable partner, as more and more job seekers, as well as employers, are applying for its services. Among the services provided by ASA there is a service concerning the provision of temporary unskilled labor. The main source of this kind of labor are young people, mostly students. The people in this demographic group have a very fragmented schedule and are consuming and interacting with information in a different way than the older generations.

The Solution

Qubiz came up with a solution that serves both the candidate workers and the recruiting agency. The solution had to take the shape of a mobile application, because young people use their smartphones every day and everywhere as their primary source of information and communication.Specifically, the application is a match-maker between the employers’ job requirements and the students’ weekly free hours.

Technologies involved

Qubiz developed a hybrid application (meaning that it’s neither truly native nor purely web-based) using the PhoneGap mobile development framework. This technology allows the application to be compatible with any mobile operating system.

The client side was developed using:

  • CSS3
  • HTML 5
  • jQuery Mobile
