Recently, we participated in the AHK New Year's Reception at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest. The event hosted business, public administration, associations, academia, and diplomatic representatives - over 900 guests!

For more than 20 years, AHK Romania - or the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry - has been the “voice of the German economy in Romania”. The organisation’s mission is to build partnerships, create business opportunities and position Romania as an attractive investment location for German companies - and do so while championing sustainability and competitive markets.
Last year, the Romanian-German bilateral trade surpassed 50 billion euros. This is a major milestone, a testament to the fact that Germany is our most important commercial partner.
This year’s AHK Reception focused on innovation. The event started with a speech from AHK president Andreas Lier, who encouraged us to make 2024 the year of innovation. Dr Peer Gebauer, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Romania, pointed out that while the current political climate remains unstable, there has been a lot of progress on the economic front thanks to strong Romanian-German cooperation in the past years.
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis also sent a message to the community, addressing the challenges that should be prioritised this year, such as public administration digitisation and structural inequalities.
The event is also an opportunity to announce the winners of the AHK Awards. Qubiz was also nominated in the Innovation and New Technologies Projects category.
We were glad to be part of the event and thankful for the AHK Awards nomination. We’re also dedicated to strengthening our relationship with the DACH region and are happy to contribute with our know-how and added value in the custom IT solutions area in major industries such as transportation, logistics and energy.
