Autumn is arguably the best season of all. It’s a colorful time filled with joyful things like pumpkin-flavoured beverages, festivals, Halloween and the (in)famous Movember. But the most fruitful thing about this period is that it is known as the “back to school” season.

 Startup Weekend Oradea on 7-9 October, Trade Center Oradea

Startup Weekend is a hands-on event where entrepreneurs learn the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. So far, the international movement had over 1800 startup weekends in more than 200 cities.

On the first evening of the event, teams will form around the top-pitched ideas and will have 54 hours to work on their projects – while mentors will be there to offer help. The event concludes with presentations in front of local entrepreneurs. For more info see their official page.

IT Days on 18-19 November, UMF Conference Hall Cluj-Napoca

IT Days is a two-day conference for IT specialists and enthusiasts. It is both a learning and a networking opportunity for those who are interested in the latest trends of the industry.

Topics include: Romanian tech products, big data, machine learning, automated testing, gamification, software architecture, project management, career paths in IT, and entrepreneurship – to name a few. Java Day: Advanced Java 8 with Richard Warburton on 18 November, Golden Tulip Ana Dome Cluj-Napoca

Java Day is crafted for technical team leads, architects, engineering directors, and project managers.

The speaker for the event is a leader in the London Java Community and author of the book Java 8 Lambdas. The topics of the event include: data parallelism, testing and debugging Lambdas, default and static methods on interfaces, enhanced design with Lambdas, date & time in Java 8 and optional data type. Codecamp on 19 November, Grand Hotel Italia Cluj-Napoca

Codecamp is an annual conference that aims to facilitate a better communication and cooperation within the local IT community.

The event does not have a main theme, instead the conference is structured on parallel talks that will take place in 8 different rooms.
