About the Data Scientist Role
We’re looking for a Data Scientist with a strong focus on AI, ML, and LLMs to drive innovation in AI-powered solutions.
This role requires expertise in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and data visualisation, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills. You will work both independently and collaboratively to develop AI-driven solutions that enhance decision-making and automation.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and deploy ML models with a strong emphasis on improving business processes and outcomes.
- Research, fine-tune, and optimise LLM for various applications.
- Perform data analysis to extract insights and enhance AI model performance.
- Develop and maintain AI/ML pipelines for training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Create data visualizations to effectively communicate AI model outputs and insights.
- Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and business teams to integrate AI models into production.
- Continuously improve AI systems, staying up to date with advancements in LLMs and AI research.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong foundation in AI, machine learning, deep learning, and data science.
- Experience with LLM (e.g. OpenAI, Llama, ClaudeAnthropic) and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Hugging Face etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and Pandas.
- Expertise in NLP techniques, including fine-tuning transformer-based models.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows and model inference optimisation.
- Familiarity with cloud AI services (AWS Sagemaker, GCP Vertex AI, or Azure AI).
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Master’s or PhD in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in training custom foundation models or working with open-source AI models.
- Knowledge of reinforcement learning, multimodal AI, or ethical AI considerations.
- Experience deploying AI models in real-world applications at scale.
