Consumption Patterns
Challenge
DVEP Energie (part of UGI International) had multiple legacy energy management systems, making the process of predicting energy consumption patterns a hassle. Additionally, due to a change of legislation, they could be penalised for buying more or less energy than needed.
Solution
As their long-term partner, we built a Balance Responsible Party (BRP) application to manage the difference between consumption and generation so that the difference is as close to zero as possible in each trading interval. This Machine Learning-based module generates a forecast based on client consumption patterns, so they know how much to buy in advance.
Result
DVEP can now predict energy consumption patterns, which makes energy trading much more cost and time-efficient.

Challenge
As the technological provider for all the European UGI-owned energy and gas distribution branches, DVEP wanted to integrate the numerous systems into a single central data repository with the capacity to provide insights into business operations. Before working with us, each branch had its own ERP in place with its own data management system and solution.
Solution
We worked on a multi-tenant data warehouse solution to standardise data for all countries. The data is extracted from multiple ERP systems and stored in a Data Warehouse.
Result
Our client now has a centralised data warehouse solution for all regions covered, making it much easier to handle and validate data, generate accurate reports, and send invoices.
