About the role
We're looking for a proactive Senior Business Analyst who combines strong analytical thinking with a product mindset and confidence working directly with clients.
You will partner with clients, users, and delivery teams to understand business challenges, challenge assumptions, and shape solutions that create measurable value. Your contribution will go beyond gathering requirements: you will help identify the right problems to solve, evaluate options, and guide prioritisation.
Alongside client-facing work, you will contribute to the development of Qubiz's internal solutions. This role offers the opportunity to grow into Product Ownership or Product Management through increasing responsibility for discovery, priorities, and product outcomes, supported by mentorship and practical experience.
What you will do
- Lead discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discussions with clients and users to uncover needs, pain points, and business goals.
- Analyse business processes, user feedback, and available data to identify opportunities and support decisions.
- Translate business challenges into clear problem statements, requirements, and actionable backlog items.
- Work with stakeholders to prioritise opportunities based on user value, business impact, effort, and risk.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, UX Designers, Developers, and QA Engineers to explore options and make informed trade-offs.
- Build trusted client relationships, manage expectations, and communicate recommendations clearly, including when challenging an assumption or request.
- Help define success measures and assess whether delivered solutions achieve the intended outcomes.
- Take increasing responsibility for discovery and prioritisation within Qubiz's internal solutions as your product ownership capabilities develop.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience in software development, IT consulting, product development, or digital transformation.
- Substantial direct client or business stakeholder exposure, including leading discovery and navigating competing expectations.
- Strong analytical skills, with examples of using evidence to clarify problems, compare options, and influence decisions.
- A demonstrated product mindset: curiosity about users, attention to business value, and the ability to distinguish a requested feature from the underlying need.
- Experience in business analysis, process improvement, and requirements management.
- The ability to facilitate complex discussions, build consensus, and explain trade-offs across business and technical teams.
- Experience collaborating closely with multidisciplinary software delivery teams.
- An ownership mindset, with initiative, sound judgement, and follow-through.
- A clear interest in developing towards Product Ownership or Product Management and taking responsibility for product outcomes.
- Business-level English proficiency, written and spoken.
Nice-to-have
- Experience as a Product Owner or responsibility for backlog prioritisation, product discovery, or roadmap decisions.
- Experience developing internal tools or products, including understanding adoption and the needs of different user groups.
- Experience defining success measures or using user feedback and data to evaluate a solution.
- Experience in complex business domains such as logistics, HR, finance, healthcare, or manufacturing.
- Exposure to AI-assisted analysis, discovery, or backlog management, with the judgement to validate outputs.
- Relevant business analysis, product ownership, or Scrum certifications.
