Insurance data and code,
modernised by people who understand both.
Your core systems hold decades of temporal data, business rules, and code no one wants to touch. We extract it, modernise it, prove it correct, and migrate it into your new administration system and data lake.
Before you modernise
Do you actually know what's running underneath?
Do you have legacy you no longer feel comfortable running? Data where no one is quite sure what it is or how it was calculated? Documentation that sits at a different version than the code it describes? Systems inherited across decades of mergers and acquisitions, where seeing the whole picture — historically, end to end — has become almost impossible? Do your people spend more time hunting for data than using it?
If those are your questions, Qubiz has an answer.
Understand
We make sense of your legacy — the code, the data, and the history behind both.
Migrate
We move it forward without losing what it took decades to build.
Run
We operate it afterwards, so your people don't have to.
Transform
We turn it into the analytics and reports your business actually needs.
Deliberate about what we do — and what we decline.
We do the hard, high-risk work on your data and code: migration, modernisation, merging after M&A, and bespoke delivery. Our people have spent years inside systems exactly like yours. We do not sell underwriting engines, risk or pricing models, or packaged decision products. We understand those areas thoroughly, which is precisely why insurers trust us to work on the systems that run them.
- 01
Legacy you no longer feel comfortable running.
Data where no one is quite sure what it is or how it was calculated. Documentation that sits at a different version than the code it describes. Systems inherited across decades of mergers and acquisitions, where seeing the whole picture — historically, end to end — has become almost impossible.
- 02
Temporal history no one wants to touch.
A policy is not a row — it is thirty years of effective-dated versions, accumulating reserves, and corrections booked forward that cannot be recomputed. One wrong day makes every following day wrong.
- 03
Logic retiring out of the market.
COBOL, RPG on AS/400, and Progress OpenEdge knowledge is leaving with the people who wrote it. The only honest description of what your product does is often the code itself — written by people who have now retired.
- 04
People spending more time hunting for data than using it.
Analytics and automation fail on undocumented systems and data whose accuracy no one can confidently confirm. The clever layer on top is only as good as the foundation underneath it — which is the part we build.
How we help, in the order you usually ask for it.
Each service is commissioned standalone or as part of a wider migration programme. Most clients start with a data migration and add code modernisation as the scope becomes clear.
A unified, auditable data foundation your systems can act on.
Legacy policy data extracted with full temporal history preserved, validated against source across the whole timeline, so nothing rests on a flattened snapshot.
The disciplines that make a migration land.
A foundation your analytics can trust.
Analytics and automation fail on undocumented systems and data whose accuracy no one can confidently confirm. We fix that first: logic recovered from the code, historical data cleaned up, and a well-modelled data lake with every rule documented and every record accounted for. The clever layer on top is only as good as the foundation underneath it — which is the part we build.
Surprises belong in the rehearsal, not the performance.
A core migration for an insurer, a pension fund, or a bank happens once. We baseline your live source, re-run it in parallel against the new system, and reconcile premiums, reserves, and balances before a single switch. We find every place a load would fail or lose information — in advance, against real data. Validation is exhaustive and multi-period, edge cases come from the specification rather than memory, and a tested rollback stays in the plan.
Security by construction.
The fear is reasonable: AI that writes plausible, insecure, wrong code that isn't caught in time. Every consequential decision and every line of code is reviewed and signed off by our engineers. Generated code clears static analysis, security scanning, and automated tests before it goes anywhere near your codebase. Verification is deterministic, so it never depends on the model being right. The AI does the typing. It does not get the final word.
We work inside your walls.
For sensitive environments we operate inside your infrastructure, under your controls, monitoring, and change management. Your data does not leave the building to get the job done, and our footprint stays minimal. FINMA, the revised FADP, and banking confidentiality mean data often cannot leave the country — we resolve that with Swiss-resident data and delivery from a 350-strong European team.
